Capturing Light - January 18th 2020
Let's learn about light and how to best use it to improve your portrait work. We'll cover using natural and artificial light. We'll dive into metering modes and we'll introduce you to studio lighting. This workshop will have a mix of classroom style and hands on learning. We'll take head shots of each other as well as real life models for guided shooting opportunities.

Lunch from Chipotle will be provided.
Dress for head shots - Neutral tones are recommended
Studio address will be sent to confirmed attendees
Styled shoot will include a festive fall balloon garland from Balloon artist Lola Tangle. See mood board included in event images.

Workshop Location
Over the last few years I have created a dreamy space for portrait photography. I have a large studio with 15 feet of windows with morning light. My yard has beautiful vines hanging rustic fences with gorgeous afternoon light. New this summer is my lifestyle shooting room completely with queen size bed and vintage couch.
Styled Shoot
During the afternoon portion of our workshop you’ll participate in a styled workshop shoot. We’ll have multiple models and shooting spots. Our model will be expecting mothers. You’ll be able to use these images in your portfolio. We’ll shoot with neutral wood tones with fall jewel tones in navy and burgundy. We’ll have contributing vendors for decor including a balloon garland from Lola Tangle Events and Styling.
