Wildlife & Waterscapes

Blackwater Wildlife Refuge is one of my favorite spots in Maryland. I've never left there disappointed! Join me at this wonderful location for an intimate small group workshop as we focus on wildlife and waterscapes. This location is stunning in the winter. 

We'll meet at 3:00pm and stay through sunset. This group will be small and limited to just 5 photographers so everyone received individual attention. These spot WILL go quickly.

We'll cover the following

- Techniques and settings for optimal wildlife images so you can capture great exposures, freeze motion, and focus quickly.

- How to best incorporate wildlife into a wide landscape shot. We'll discuss composition that give the biggest impact as well as predictive shooting. 

- Best practices for waterscape photography and how to get the most out of your scene. I will also have my filter kit available for anyone who is interested

You will need

-DSLR with accessories (batteries, memory cards, manual)

-Wide lens AND zoom lens

-Tripod

- Something to snack on and drink

- COLD WEATHER GEAR! Please dress for the weather!

We will meet at the visitor center at 3:00pm where we can group into two cars. This will allow us to approach wildlife along the loop without a large convoy of vehicles.
